- Wastewater Operations Supervisor
Description
Jacobs is seeking a Wastewater Operations Supervisor to work at our wastewater facility located in Prescott Valley, AZ. You’ll work with project staff to assist in supervising the daily operations activities as well as operating a WWTP, Collections System and Reclaimed System to provide superior client service, ensure timely completion of all activities, effectively schedule work to drive optimized resource utilization, establish and maintaining efficient progress metrics and tracking tool and provide technical support as needed. You’ll also supervise all staff assigned to the Wastewater & Collections Departments. You will be responsible for maintaining system compliance with all State and Federal Regulations and Permits.

Requirements
Qualifications - External
- High School Diploma or GED
- ADEQ Grade 4 Wastewater Treatment and Grade 4 Wastewater Collections certification or the ability to acquire within the first 18 months of employment.
- 3 to 6 years’ experience in a Wastewater Treatment Plant environment, 2 of which must have been in a role leading other staff
- Experience in operating a Wastewater Facility within permitted requirements and submitted all required reports to regulatory agencies
- Experience in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software) systems
- Experience with Planning, Scheduling and Inventory Control
- Experience developing and working within an approved budget. Specifically tracking costs, adjusting activities to stay on budget, and optimizing labor and materials
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Ideally, You’ll Also:
- Possess experience coordinating activities with operational needs and evaluating project policies and objectives
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine effective courses of action for correcting them
- Support assets review and condition assessment efforts
- Gain necessary system knowledge to develop and update thorough capital improvement plans
- Perform heavy manual labor when needed
- Keep records and prepare routine and special reports
- Maintain equipment in sewage treatment plant: bar screening, grit handling systems, primary and secondary clarifiers, UV disinfection, aeration basins and blowers, belt filter presses, polymer mix systems, associated pumps (positive displacement, centrifugal, chemical, metering)
- Develop, implement, and enforce compliance and safety regulations and procedures
- Provide training to less experienced employees
