Exciting Opportunity: Plant Engineer for a Leading Canadian Manufacturer
Our client, a Canadian-owned global leader in organo-functional silicone specialties, is looking for an immediate hire for a full-time, permanent Plant Engineer at their state-of-the-art facility in Fort Erie.
Requirements
About the Role: Training will begin at the client’s Toronto and Mississauga plants for 1-2 months. Once training is complete, you’ll transition to Fort Erie, where you will:
- Support the Project Manager in overseeing safe and efficient installation processes, including piping, equipment, and electrical work.
- Verify the testing/certification of piping and controls, followed by startup and commissioning of processes and equipment.
Once Operational:
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop preventative maintenance programs and implement corporate safety policies.
- Coordinate contractors, manage project costs, and create SOPs.
- Lead maintenance shutdowns, product transfers, and operator training.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- MANDATORY Chemical Engineering degree with Ontario P.Eng. certification.
- MANDATORY at least 2+ years in the chemical industry.
- Strong technical ability, communication skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, and Office.
The successful candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to the Niagara Region.
