Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP), the Midwest RCAP, assists rural drinking water, wastewater, and solid waste utilities in finding solutions to their infrastructure needs. Since 1979, MAP has been helping rural utilities and tribal nations in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming to build financial managerial and operational capacity. Through MAP's individualized support, rural communities, tribal nations, water and wastewater districts, homeowner's associations, lake associations, and other small utilities find solutions to sustain infrastructure safely and efficiently while revitalizing the communities. MAP's professional and competent staff are committed to rural America's strength and future vitality.
Company History
Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) is a member of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) network. RCAP works to revitalize communities through its six regional partners and nearly 300 technical assistance providers at the state and local levels in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The majority of these communities, which are typically economically disadvantaged, have fewer than 3,300 residents.
MAP has been helping communities and tribal nations find solutions to their infrastructure and development needs through information, resource management, expertise, and technical assistance since 1979. MAP is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
MAP provides solutions to rural communities and tribal nations in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota and South Dakota. Through individualized support from staff, residents find the solutions that will help revitalize their communities. MAP's staff live in the communities served by the organization and have a deep commitment to the strength, future, and vitality of rural America.

Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) serves over 500 communities each year with a median household income of $47,347. MAP hosts and provides hundreds of training events at no cost to municipal, water or wastewater professionals in our nine-state Midwest region each year.
