Job Description
We are seeking a driven Business Development Specialist to grow Farwest Corrosion Control Company’s presence across the Midwest region. This role is responsible for developing new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and managing opportunities through the full sales cycle in HubSpot. The ideal candidate brings strong sales experience, confidence in building customer relationships, and preferably technical knowledge of cathodic protection, corrosion control, pipeline, utility, or water/wastewater markets. A proven ability to identify opportunities, communicate value, and meet revenue goals is essential.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and expand relationships with existing customers throughout the assigned territory.
- Identify customer needs and align Farwest solutions in cathodic protection, corrosion control, materials, and related services.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline in HubSpot and manage opportunities from lead generation through close.
- Achieve regional and company sales goals through strategic business development and account management.
- Build and deliver effective presentations, proposals, and customer-facing correspondence.
- Coordinate internally with estimating, operations, and leadership to support customers and move opportunities forward.
- Represent Farwest at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Travel throughout the region, including overnight travel, as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and information management.
- Must have an excellent driving record.
- Strong presence, confidence, and professionalism in customer-facing situations
- Good organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Proven track record of generating new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, cold call, and open new accounts
- Strong pipeline management skills using a CRM (HubSpot preferred)
- High level of initiative, urgency, and accountability
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Prefer experience in cathodic protection, corrosion control, pipeline, utilities, or related industrial markets
- This role is best suited for someone who is motivated by building pipeline, winning new work, and being directly accountable for results.

- Establishing new customer relationships across the territory

- Becoming a trusted partner in the corrosion and cathodic protection space
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
